1. Who we are

MyFoodScan is a mobile application published by Jérôme Veit, resident in France.

2. Data we collect

Stored only on your device

• Your declared allergens and dietary preferences
• Your scan history
• Your language and display preferences
• Your scan count (for the freemium model)

This data never leaves your device. It is deleted if you uninstall the application.

Transmitted to our servers (Cloudflare Worker)

• The text of the ingredient list of the scanned product, when you use AI analysis (Premium feature)
• No personal identifier is transmitted

This data is relayed to the Anthropic API (Claude) for analysis and is not retained by our servers.

Managed by RevenueCat (subscriptions)

• Anonymous Apple or Google subscription identifier
• In-app purchase history
• Your subscription status

3. Data we do NOT collect

• Your name, address, or email
• Your location
• Your contacts
• Your photos (unless you explicitly submit them)
• Any advertising identifiers
• Any data for tracking or advertising purposes

4. Subprocessors

• Cloudflare (Workers and proxy hosting) — policy
• Anthropic PBC (Claude model for AI analysis) — policy
• Open Food Facts (product database, anonymous queries) — policy
• RevenueCat (subscription management) — policy
• Apple / Google (in-app payments) — their respective policies

5. Your rights (GDPR)

• Access your data: all your data is visible in the app (Profile, History)
• Delete it: uninstalling the application removes all local data
• Export it: contact us at jerome75veit@gmail.com
• File a complaint with your data protection authority

6. Security

All communications with our servers are encrypted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+). We do not store any personally identifiable information on our servers.

7. Children

MyFoodScan is not intended for children under 13 (or 16 depending on your country). We do not knowingly collect any data from children.

8. Changes

This policy may evolve. Any material change will be notified in the application.
